When Sony sold their VAIO PC business to a Japanese investment firm a few years ago, we weren’t sure what would become of the more upscale brand of laptops and PCs. If the new VAIO SX12 Laptop is any indication, the brand is better than it’s ever been. Billed by VAIO as “ultra-portability without compromise,” the VAIO SX12 pairs a thin, lightweight, and downright sleek exterior with 8th generation Intel quad-core processors and TruePerformance technology inside to create a workhorse laptop that can tackle almost anything. When it comes to delivering on their statement, it’s only 0.62″ tall, weighs less than 2 pounds and has all the ports you could ever want (USB-C, 3x USB, HDMI, VGA, Ethernet, SD card slot and a headphone jack). The only adapter you’re going to have to worry about carrying is the one that charges the laptop, which is the way it should be.
