There’s a battle brewing in the camera world, and it isn’t among cheap point-and-shoot models and it isn’t between pricey DSLRs. The war is being waged somewhere in the middle between fairly affordable cameras that pack features that rival the big guys. The latest, and one of the finest, entries into this category is the Sony A5100. The mirrorless camera boasts a similar crazy-fast autofocus system to the one the A6000 featured, but it harnesses that power in a smaller, more portable body. The camera also boasts a touchscreen which is a noticeable upgrade over the A6000’s rear display. The autofocus allows users to lock in on a shot in just 0.07 seconds so you can rest assured you can get the image you want in moment’s notice. The camera just launched for pre-order and will begin shipping in September.
