While the Watch was the highlight of today’s Apple presser, the new MacBook should not be overlooked. Apple’s new notebook is thinner (just 13.1 mm at its thickest point), lighter (just 2 lbs), and packed with more battery power (35% more battery life) than previous models. And these are just the start of the improvements. The keyboard has been changed with more accurate keys, a trackpad with pressure sensitivity to give it new functionality, and illumination on each key for nighttime Netflix. It’s also the world’s most energy efficient notebook, the first MacBook without a fan, and it comes with USB-C which allows one port to serve multiple purposes from power to USB. Available in three colors, the new MacBook will be out April 10. Apple has once again proven that the demise of the laptop was premature.
