As more and more photographers turn away from their bulky DSLRs in favor of something more portable, there have been a few things that have been lost in the transition. One of the biggest is speed. The latest in the Nikon 1 line, the J5, aims to fix that. The compact, interchangeable lens camera can shoot continuously at 20 frames per second with surprisingly strong focus thanks to the 171 point auto focus system. Packed with a 20.8 megapixel CMOS sensor, EXPEED 5A processor, and the ability to shoot 4K video, it’s also a powerful little camera. No release date has been announced, but you should be able to pick up the J5 with a 1 NIKKOR 10-30mm f/3.5-5.6 PD-Zoom lens for $500 when it launches.
