Yes, this camera is a shot across the bow from Sony to GoPro. It’s designed to cover exactly the same types of situations with the same level of clarity, detail and fun. And yes, you’re going to look a little ridiculous wearing it on your head or hooking it up to the exterior of your car–just like you do with GoPro. We’re actually ok with all of this because competition breeds innovation and the Sony Action Cam has some pretty cool features. Full  HD 1080P. Ultra-wide angle, pro quality Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens (think Ferrari of lenses). But the coolest feature in our opinion is the available Wi-Fi. You can control the camera with, or transfer footage footage to, your iOS or Android phone if you get the model with Wi-Fi. So yeah, you might look ridiculous with a camera on your head, but at least you don’t have to waste time in between runs taking it off and checking out the results.
