After masterfully crafting watches, bikes, multi-tools and ping pong paddles, Shinola is tackling the world of high-end audio with the announcement of the Runwell Turntable. Built in America in collaboration with VPI (one of the nation’s leading turntable manufacturers), the Runwell Turntable uses a friction-free, all-metal tonearm, modular phono preamp and an Ortofon 2M blue phono cartridge to get the music engraved in your record of choice into your ears. As with everything Shinola, the end result is a piece of gear that’s as strikingly beautiful and well designed as it is functional. The initial run will be limited to 500 units, and production begins later this year.
