If you were going to base a headphone purchase on a celebrity recommendation, who would it be? Katy Perry? Halloween costumes for the lady maybe, but not headphones. Kanye? Yeah, right. How about Dr. Dre? Yeah, that’s what we were thinking too. Dre teamed up with Monster (yeah, the crazy cable company) to get the athlete friendly, iPhone compatible Powerbeats where they belong – on your ears. The biggest problem with in-ear, wrap around headphones has always been the wrap around part, but these bend to cradle even our freakishly large ears. They also come stock with on cable buttons for iPhone/iPod control. You don’t just have to mute Miley Cyrus (how’d that get on there?), you can skip right back to the Rocky theme. They let ambient noise in which you wouldn’t think is a bonus – until you get hit by a car. Did we mention they have built-in subwoofers? It’s Monster + Dr. Dre, of course they’re good.
