There have been a lot of swings and misses when it comes to producing virtual reality headsets. The problem with most of these units has either been that they were far to expensive for an average consumer or they just didn’t quite capture the feel of being fully immersed in a video game universe. While we haven’t been lucky enough to try out the Rift from Oculus yet, we think it might be the first headset that gets it right. With a huge field of view, ultra-low latency (a huge plus) and a high resolution display, you actually won’t feel like you’re in your parents’ basement.
