There are plenty of third-party calendar apps available for the iPhone. They all do things just a little bit differently, but there’s one thing they all have in common–they’re better than the stock calendar app. The latest addition to your appointment tracking repertoire is called Mynd, and it might be our favorite yet. Mynd works by getting to approve access to your existing calendars and contacts. That means you don’t have to type in credentials for five different Gmail accounts, but it also means it works with Exchange accounts. Mynd is a smart calendar that gives you a head’s up on critical information about your day, meeting attendees (why it needs access to your contacts) and traffic information. That’s right, Mynd will give you a head’s up based on current traffic conditions without ever having to open Google Maps and find out you’re going to be late for drinks. But if that happens, it can also send messages to notify them of your tardiness.
