The Leica Q has been one of our favorite everyday cameras ever since it was released a handful of years ago. The brand’s follow up to the beloved Leica Q is finally here with the obviously named Leica Q2 camera. Like the original, it has a full-frame sensor, a fixed Summilux 28mm f/1.7 lens, 3.68MP electronic viewfinder, a 3″ touchscreen LCD and a pretty hefty price tag. But this time around, that CMOS sensor is an incredible 47.3MP, which is almost twice as large as the original and, frankly, ridiculous. They also added in weather-sealed construction, better WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity and reworked the buttons and user interfaces. Essentially, Leica took an already great camera and made it even better–without sacrificing anything that made the original a true, modern Leica. The Leica Q2 is currently up for pre-order now with estimated shipping in late March.
