Leica 3D-Imaging Laser Scanner

Leica 3D-Imaging Laser Scanner
This one is going to be more for you professional architects and designers out there. Leica Geosystems, not to be confused with the film camera giant, just introduced a new 3D-imaging laser scanner that is truly remarkable in its functionality, usability and portability. Setup the Leica BLK360 3D Imaging Laser Scanner on a table or a tripod and push just one button to start it scanning in real-time into AutoDesk ReCap Pro (1yr subscription included). The BLK360 can scan up to 60m in minutes in 360 degree HDR spherical detail that is so accurate you can actually do measurements in the app on site or back at the home base. You can view the finalized scans in 2D or 3D, with or without thermal imaging options, and even automatically stitch together multiple scans into one comprehensive setup. Applications for the use of something like this are only limited by your imagination and the size of your bank account, but we foresee it getting a fair bit of use in the professional world once it ships.
