iPhone 7 Plus

iPhone 7 Plus

Apple announced both the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus today, but we’re going to focus on the latter, as it’s a bit more exciting. Yes, the rumors are true: the new iPhone does not have a headphone jack. But that’s not necessarily bad news. The new iPhone 7 Plus will come with an adapter so you can plug your old headphones into the Lightning connector and still use them. Apple also announced AirPods, the company’s first wireless earbuds, which look exactly like the current earbuds if you ripped the cord out. So what else is going on with the new iPhone 7 Plus? Well, for starters, there are two cameras on the back now, which will allow you to play with depth of field. This is a big deal. With iPhone 7 Plus, and a free update coming after launch, you’ll be able to take stunning portraits with incredible bokeh. To add to that, the whole phone is water and dust resistant, the home button will now offer haptic feedback developers can play with, and the antenna is embedded and hidden (obviously, since the phone is water resistant) for an all around cleaner look. The phone is also packed with stereo speakers, which are 2x louder. Storage numbers have all increased, as you can get the iPhone 7 Plus with up to 256 GB now. Pre-orders start Friday. Phones will be available September 16.
