Grado has been hand building products (headphones, mostly) in Brookly for over sixty years. They’ve made headphones out of quite a few different woods (Bushmills barrels, anyone?), but they’ve never made headphones from maple or from trees in Brooklyn. When John and Jonathan Grado found out there were trees that needed to be removed, one from Sunset Park specifically, they decided to use that one, single tree to make headphones. The GH1 Headphones were born. GH1s are built with the same quality and attention to detail as other Grado headphones, but the quantity is extremely limited because of the yield of the tree. Each pair ships in a box with a signed letter from Grado.
