Never one to rest on their laurels when it comes to innovating in the action cam space, GoPro just released details on the new GoPro Fusion 5.2K Spherical Camera. The new GoPro Fusion captures 5.2K30 video and gorgeous stills in a full spherical to help you create truly immersive traditional and virtual reality content. Described by Founder and CEO Nicholas Woodman as if “you had six GoPro cameras fused into one,” Fusion is a game changer because of the way it captures every possible angle with the new OverCapture setup. At it’s simplest, OverCapture records in every direction and allows you to go back and select your favorite video clips, photographs and b-roll footage in post production instead of worrying about having to frame shots when you’re in the heat of the moment. GoPro is currently accepting applications for a Fusion Pilot Program with a limited commercial release planned for the end of the year.
