We’re Apple fans. Love us or hate us, it’s the truth. That being said, however, we are above all fans of simply awesome gear. While the iPad has dominated the barren tablet market for some time now, it appears some worthy challengers are on the horizon. If one of these newbies proves superior, we’re all for making a switch. (Or we’ll just get a few tablets.) Google’s 7-inch tablet offers something that Apple never could, a little relief for our wallet. With a sub-$200 price tag, the Nexus 7 Tablet should appeal to the group of people who couldn’t rationalize spending iPad-like money. The ASUS tablet has a 1280×800 display, 9 hours of battery life and will, of course, run Jelly Bean. Available mid-July.
