3D printing is one of the coolest things to come around in the last decade. Even if you own a good printer though, converting something you already have to a 3D print was damn near impossible unless you were willing to drop tens of thousands on a scanner. That’s exactly why the eora 3D high-precision 3D scanner was created. Using your Android or iOS phone (check the site for exact models), eora 3D uses a green laser to create high-quality 3D models that are precise to sub-100 microns. For the record, that’s less than the thickness of a sheet of paper. The companion app is easy to use and stitches together multiple scans from various angles to create a full model, but there is an optional companion wireless turntable that connects via Bluetooth.
