When you’re ready to put down the toy drones and step up to the big leagues, one name stands above the rest: DJI. Well, with the introduction of the Mavic Air, DJI has made the jump from beginner to novice/expert a whole lot easier. Extremely portable, the Mavic Air folds to the size of a smartphone (height and width, at least), meaning you can toss it in your bag and bring it with you on any adventure you want to capture. But just because this guy is pint-sized, it doesn’t mean DJI skimped on the tech. The Mavic Air boasts a 3-axis mechanical gimbal that significantly cuts down on vibration for steadier shots. It handles 4K video at 30 fps and it can even stitch together 25 photos to give you a 180º panorama that will look stunning. You can go slow-mo on your video and even HDR on your shots. Even the remote folds up. If you’ve been wanting to make the jump to the drone pros, now’s the time to do it.
