We like things inspired by winners. That’s why Air Jordan’s sell like crazy but Air Brian Scalabrine’s never quite made it off the cutting room floor. Base something off a Mercedes Silver Arrow – even if it is as vastly different as a guitar – and we’re already on-board. This Aluminium Telecaster Electric Guitar draws its inspiration from the dominant aluminium racers of the 30’s that seemingly could crank their speed to 11. The guitar takes a wooden body and covers it in aluminium like you would some leftover pizza slices (okay, it is far better than a piece of crinkled foil). The pickguard, knobs and other controls are hand-crafted aluminium as well. Even the strap takes its cue from the racers of the past echoing the cotton white their uniforms where made from. Because, let’s be honest, who would buy a guitar designed with a Geo Metro in mind?
