The current game of golf needs as much as help as it can get. And though Tiger might just be back in a big way, every little bit of oomph to promote things is welcomed, including video game mini golf. Yep. Alphaputt for iOS and Android reimagines the game by merging miniature golf with the alphabet and wordplay. Each course is a letter of the alphabet that employs brilliant settings (‘A’ is an Airport; ‘Z’ is a Zen garden; ‘U’ has UFOs!) and stunning graphics. Play based on randomly generated words to build your own course, create your own words, or go after Moby Dick by playing Par-fection, a full run of the entire alphabet. And you can even include your friends for multi-player delights. And should you think it’s child’s play, just give it a whirl like we did. Despite the fact that it’s gobs of fun, we haven’t gotten par yet.
