Despite the fact the films are now both more than three decades old, Alien and Aliens are still some of the best Sci-Fi movies (horror, too) ever made. The second film had a lot to love from the Power Loader to the alien queen, but one of those beloved aspects–at least from a marketing standpoint–were the red / white / gray Reebok “Alien Stomper” sneakers Ripley was wearing during the film. Reebok has done a few nostalgia-inspired re-releases over the years, but nothing quite like the most recent. Designed in collaboration with Japanese favorite Mountain Research, the latest Alien Stomper Sneaker release is an all white high-top with plenty of call backs to the film. Dual Velcro closures. Perforated toe box. Leather construction. They also have contrasting black phrases like “Keep strapped to hold firmly” and “Keep in a safe place when removing” that give them a very futuristic feel.

Retro-Video-Game-Puzzle-IF2

We’ve long been obsessed with Things Organized Neatly, the Tumblr, Instagram account, and book that displays collections of items arranged in pleasing ways. It’s the reason we’re hard at work on this puzzle. When finished, the puzzle depicts a collection of retro video games and gaming systems aligned ever so perfectly. Each is made in the USA by the New York Puzzle Company and features original photography from artist Jim Golden. At 1000 pieces, it will put you to work for some time, but when you complete it you can use some puzzle glue and frame it on your wall. Out of chaos comes order, right?
