Oris Carbon ProPilot Altimeter

Oris Carbon ProPilot Altimeter

Oris has just upgraded its ProPilot Altimeter, and it still remains the only mechanical automatic altimeter watch on planet Earth. Perhaps most important is the new carbon composite case from 9T Labs. The result is a supremely lightweight 47mm carbon fiber case that uses a breakthrough all-in-one manufacturing process, and it’s lighter and thinner than the outgoing model. The movement is an Oris 793 automatic with 56 hours of power reserve. The Altimeter functions by way of an aneroid capsule system that expands and contracts with the air pressure. More practical for mountaineers and climbers than actual pilots, the altitude max is now 19,700 feet, up from the old watch’s 15,000 feet. It comes on a green textile strap with a leather backing and a micro-adjustable black titanium PVD clasp. You can buy it directly from Oris’ website now.
