Nodus makes some of the best microbrand watches around, and they’ve cemented their reputation in a very short period of time. Now, they go deep diving with the Nodus Sector Deep, the latest member of their popular Sector series of timepieces. Its purpose-driven design gives it the most professional aesthetic out of the entire Sector line. It ticks all of the right boxes for ocean duties: excellent legibility, a 500-meter depth rating, Swiss Super-Luminova BGW9 lume, Destro crown at the 9 o’clock position to reduce both snag risk and wrist pinch, and a 42mm matte black dual-display unidirectional bezel that protrudes out beyond the 38mm case for ideal grippiness. The icing on the cake is Nodus’ proprietary NodeX clasp system that allow for five levels of expansion for wetsuits or too much pizza. The red accents on the bezel and crown pick up the “DEEP” lettering on the dial perfectly. All this for a mere $575 might just make it the best dive-ready watch we’ve come across in a long time. The Sector Deep is already sold out but should return this summer.
