Grand Seiko SBGW295

If you think Seiko only makes affordable timepieces, think again. This 110th anniversary commemorative Grand Seiko SBGW295’s dial is about as handcrafted as a watch can get. The dial is known as “Black Urushi” which uses a delicate process that gives it a rich black coloring and is accentuated with gold maki-e markers that have been hand-applied by Urushi Master Isshu Tamura using lacquer and 24k gold powder. The round case is made with Brilliant Hard Titanium that’s both brighter and tougher than standard titanium. The movement is a manual wind Caliber 9S64 with 72 hours of power reserve. The special watch also gets a special strap that uses a Yoroiori weave once used for samurai armor. Only 500 of this limited edition watch will be made.
