Draftsman 01 Scale Watch Looks Like A Ruler

Remember those clear plastic rulers we all had in high school? They’re the ones we were supposed to be using to learn about geometry by drawing isosceles triangles and rhombi, but ultimately just ended up getting spun on top of pencils out of sheer boredom. Those types of clear plastic rulers, more specifically drafting rulers, are what the new watches from Japanese firm Nendo are based on. The first watch, Scale, takes its cues from those calibrated rulers by printing the markers on the crystal itself rather than the face. That whole setup is housed in a brushed stainless case and then attached to either a black leather (with white or black face) or brown leather (with brown face) strap. They remind us of offerings from Uniform Wares, except with actual numbers, the crystal printing and a relocated crown.
