Cartier is steeped in history, and the original 1972 Pebble Watch was one of its truly rare mish-mashed icons that blended a round case with a diamond-shaped dial set inside it. Only six were made, making it one of the rarest timepieces on earth. The brand just reissued the Pebble for its 50th anniversary. The 36mm case is crafted from 18-karat yellow gold, and the dial is an off-white eggshell opaline for that vintage touch. The hands and crown get a deep Azure blue hue for the perfect contrast. The movement is a Cartier manual-wind Caliber 430MC. This time, Cartier will build more than six but not that many more. Only 150 will be made, and it will hit Cartier stores in November at about the average price of a new car.
