While we don’t have that hoverboard just yet, thanks to Nike, we are finally getting some legit Mags. Yes, the mythical sneakers from Back to the Future, the ones with laces that tie up on their own, are now a reality. The first pair of 2015 Nike Mags with power laces, not surprisingly, went to one Michael J. Fox. As for your pair, well, things are gonna be a little tricky, and probably crazy expensive. Nike will auction off the sneakers in the spring of 2016, with proceeds going to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. That’s an awesome move on Nike’s part, but it will probably mean landing a pair of self-lacing Mags will be tougher than building a flux capacitor.
