Using typography to create cool, wall mountable images of other things is really nothing new in the world of design. Time and time again we’ve seen talented artists throw the adage “a picture is worth 1,000 words” out the window in favor of using the same words to create pictures. We’re not sure precisely how the math works out for how many words each of these typography portraits is worth, but we know they’re damn cool regardless. UK graphic designer Michael McCabe is taking the meaning one step further with this series of Musician Typography Portraits by using lyrics from Tupac, Snoop, Ice Cube, Hendrix, et. al to immortalize each of their already memorable mugs.
