The Tapestries of Erin M. Riley

The Tapestries of Erin M. Riley

Back before everyone knew it wasn’t such a good idea to post debaucherous pictures on Facebook, you couldn’t even log on at work without seeing pictures of bong rips and girl-on-girl action. We’ve all grown out of the phase where we thought any of that was a good idea (posting the pictures, not the acts themselves), but un-tagging yourself only does so much good. Artist Erin M. Riley probably hasn’t been the unfortunate subject matter of any of these sorts of pictures (she doesn’t drink or do drugs), but that doesn’t stop her from immortalizing the scenes in her medium of choice – woven tapestry. With tapestries of everything from two girls making out on top of kegs to bong rips in front of Linkin Park posters, each of them is an artistic trip down memory lane.
