If someone were to pop out of any of the vans depicted in Kevin Cyr’s “In Praise of Rust” series and offer you candy, don’t take it! (Unless it’s a Cadbury Creme Egg, those are awesome.) Each of the vehicles painted depicts a beat up, graffiti-covered ride seen by Kevin on the streets of The Big Apple. In a dirty, cigarette-strewn alley these vans might not conjure up the image of fine art, but with a simplistic backdrop they look like prints we wish we could put up in our office without scaring off any colleagues who happen to be parents.
