There are two problems with electric forms of transportation: it looks like shit and/or it’s slow as shit. See: Toyota Prius, Mitusbishi MieV, Reva G-Wiz (the guy that named this better be unemployed). Then companies like Tesla and Zero Engineering came along and showed us batteries weren’t just for transporting women to orgasm and the remote. Brammo throws its hat into the ring again with the 50-hp, 59 lb-ft Empulse.

While the numbers on the Empulse might not seem awe-inspiring at first, there are a few things you need to consider. It hits over 100mph. It has a 100 mile range (albeit with the upgraded battery). It only weighs 390lbs. Most importantly, it starts at $10k and you can get tax incentives in some states that will reduce it to $7k. When you factor in the cost of the gas you don’t have to pay for this thing could pay for itself with a year of twisties and drag races. Sell your econobox and reap the rewards before the tax incentives disappear.
