Volocopter Volocity

Volocopter Volocity

Known as a multicopter (or multi-rotor helicopter), the Volocity was created for VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) emergency services air rescue, as well as for commercial usage. The two-seater wasn’t built to move patients. Instead, the electric aircraft’s focus would be on transporting physicians to more remote rural areas at speeds of up to 93 mph and a minimum range of 93 miles, which significant reduces travel time and allows physicians to see twice as many patients as conventional road vehicles would allow for. Volocopter is currently working with ADAC Lufrettung, one of the largest air rescue organizations in Europe to make the Volocity a reality. Testing is planned for real-life operation in 2023.
