It seems like every concept car we’ve seen of late is an electric crossover doodad meant to appeal to everyone. Back in the day, concept cars were radical, enthusiast creations that got the blood flowing. It seems like Suzuki hasn’t lost that touch with its latest offering, the Misano Concept. Inspired by their motorcycles, the brand sought to “merge the adrenaline rush on two wheels with the driving experience on four.” The Misano is actually a thesis project for 24 students at Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) Torino in a collaboration with Suzuki. It’s a small, lightweight, open-top barchetta (little boat) design that has a minimal windscreen and seats two in tandem, rather than side-by-side. It provides untrammeled views of the road, and it should be crazy quick thanks to its electric powertrain. In concept only, the Misano will be on display at the Museo Nazionale dell’Automobile di Torino from Saturday, May 15th to Sunday, June 6th.
