MINI wants to be more than just cute. They’ve partnered with Germany’s X-Raid to create a rugged off-roader that pulls directly from X-Raid’s MINI ALL4 Racing Dakar Rally SUVs. The base vehicle MINI Cooper S All4, and then X-Raid adds its special package that includes suspension and chassis upgrades, 28-inch all-terrain tires on beadlock wheels, and 1.6 inches of added ground clearance on top of the existing 6.5 inches of clearance on the base car. Theoretically, the same X-Raid package could be added to other MINI vehicles, but specifics haven’t been provided. Contact X-Raid for more details on the possibility of this package coming to the states so you can stick it to your neighbor and his brand new Subaru Crosstrek.
