Lexus GX Overland Concept

Lexus GX Overland Concept

Just when you thought the dated Lexus GX 460 was about ready to head to the big garage in the sky, Lexus of Canada mods one into a stunning (but oddly colored) overlander ready to take on remote locations. The body-on-frame luxury SUV gets clad in an interesting light blue hue with a cool topographical map graphic on the body to show it’s not meant to go to the shopping mall. The suspension is lifted, skid plates are added, beefy off-road tires get shod on the beadlock wheels, and Lexus sees fit to slap a big tent on top replete with its own canopy for shaded relaxation. The interior stays stock except for the nonsequitur red leather seats that somehow convert the inside of concept SUV into Elton John’s dressing room. The vehicle was specially built for the Montreal Auto Show, so don’t expect it to come stateside.
