The FJ Company out of Miami, FL continues to deliver what might just be the best Toyota FJ Land Cruiser restomods we’ve ever laid eyes on. The FJ Company calls its process “RestoManufacturing”. This G45 is the biggest one we’ve come across, and it’s been given the full beans. This 1981 Toyota Land Cruiser G45 long-wheelbase gets redone in full-on pea green and black from tip to toe, and the glorious restoration involves modifying original chassis then reinforcing it, and then “hot dip” galvanizing it for true corrosion resistance. Unlike other restomods, the FJ Company strives to use Toyota parts whenever possible to keep their trucks true to the FJ legacy. Like its other, shorter variants, this G45 gets a new front coil suspension, ABS, stability and traction control, and receive a new 318-horsepower Toyota 1GR-FE 4.0L V6 with a floor-mounted 5-speed manual transmission. New electronics, full-leather seating for up to eight with folding jump seats, LED lighting inside and out, as well as that all-important front-mounted winch.
