East Coast Defender The Huntress

East Coast Defender is a name that needs no introduction around these parts. Their latest, The Huntress, is every part as awesome as every other vehicle they’ve ever produced. Built for a renowned artist “known for her fearless multi-sensory installations,” The Huntress was designed and built to be a rolling example of her “fearless vision” that would perform daily tasks on her Wyoming ranch. What started as a Land Rover Defender 130 was upgraded in almost every department to create something that was equal parts client build and East Coast Defender masterpiece. 6.2-liter, 430-hp Chevy LS3 V8 Corvette engine. Six-speed automatic transmission. Wilwood brakes. Two-inch lift kit. Kenwood infotainment, Corbeau front seats, Boost 18″ wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich tires and a tubular winch bumper with a WARN winch. And then there’s the interior. The custom interior of this gorgeous truck is made with locally sourced alligator hides—a first for ECD—that contributes to the what the artist calls a “collected look” while also being cool as hell. The Huntress is a drool-worthy truck that will cradle you in the lap of luxury while also being able to hold all of your stuff and hit a six and a half second 0-60 time. What’s not to love?
