The Dodge Demon Is the Fastest Production Car

Just unveiled at the New York Auto Show, the Dodge Demon is so fast it’s banned from racing. 0-60mph in 2.3 seconds. 0-100mph in just over five seconds. Sub ten second quarter mile time. 6.2-liter engine with a brain-rattling 840 horsepower. The new Dodge Demon is so fast that, after the American National Hot Rod Association certified the time on a drag strip they immediately banned it from NHRA competition racing. In addition to the rest of the “most impressive production car statistics ever” the Demon hits 30mph in one second, finishes that aforementioned sub ten second quarter at 140 mph and launches with 1.8g of force, which is enough to make it wheelie off the line. Whatever pent up angst we had for the modern iteration of the Dart immediately disappeared when we saw this ridiculous new beast. Price and availability are still TBD from Dodge, but the “fastest production car ever” is probably going to be limited and cost a pretty penny.
