BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupe

The result of a collaboration between BMW Group and Pininfarina, the BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupé made its debut at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa de Este 2013. Translation: Competition of Elegance held every April in Italy. The Gran Lusso is a “one-off and represents the exclusive interpretation of a luxurious BMW Coupe’ through the eyes of Pininfarina”. As a hallmark of the Italian auto designer, Pininfarina takes the already clean lines of the BMW and makes them more defined. The interior treatment is nothing less than spectacular. Enhancing the black and tobacco leather appointments is 48,000-year-old Kauri wood salvaged from swamps in New Zealand. The trim is fashioned from a single piece of this rare wood with a polish and oiling being the only finish. Literally topping off the interior is a grey plaid roof liner in the “Principe de Galles” pattern. Lastly, 21 inch wheels finish this example of sophisticated, modern elegance.
