If you thought Hyundai’s Prophecy Concept EV was going to be the wildest car to drop online after Geneva was cancelled, wait until you see Bentley’s Bacalar. The Bacalar is the first of many fully bespoke cars that will be rolling out of the recently revived Mulliner Coachbuilt division at Bentley in very, very small batches. The Bacalar in particular, which carries a price tag of just under $2 million, is limited to 12 total vehicles and is already sold out. So what makes this car so special? For starters, it shares no construction or panels with any other Bentley vehicle, so it is a unique piece of the storied portfolio. There’s also the fact that it has no roof, a 650-bhp 6.0-liter W12 engine, wraparound cockpit, bronze-rimmed 22″ wheels and trim made from sustainable and ethically-sourced 5,000-year-old Riverwood trim. With design DNA that hearkens back to the EXP 100 GT concept, it’s also one hell of a beautiful automobile.
