Ares Design out of Modena Italy has created the S1 Project, a naturally-aspirated supercar that looks like a cross between a Porsche 917, a McLaren P1, and Hennessey Venom GT. The S1 Project’s V8 engine delivers a healthy 715 horsepower mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission that powers the rear wheels. The body is constructed with hand-crafted carbon fiber for lightness, and aero elements provide massive amounts of downforce for high-speed stability. It also benefits from a double-wishbone suspension, forged aluminum axles, and adaptive Magnetic Ride Control. 0-62 mph will be over in 2.7 seconds, which will make it quicker than the 800-hp Ferrari 812 Superfast. The interior of the S1 Projecdt lacks nothing thanks to extensive use of Nappa leather, Alcantara suede, and carbon fiber. It exhibits masterful simplicity and bespoke style, at the same time, with diamond-quilted stitching, high-res displays for driver and passenger, and a massive waterfall center console that houses infotainment, drive modes, and the push-button gear selector. Rumor has it that only 24 will be built, and we’re guessing that the asking price is well out of reach for most humans.
