While there’s no Camel Trophy off-road race anymore (having ended in 2000), Land Rover wants to take its storied livery and slap it on its latest baby. The Defender Trophy Edition gets real upgrades that make it ready for use in special adventure competitions as part of the brand’s Land Rover Experiece in Manchester, Vermont. The Trophy is based on the Defender 110 P400 X-Dynamic SE and adds features like a tow hitch receiver, air suspension pack, cold climate pack, off-road pack, and advanced off-road capability pack. Other bits include an onboard air compressor, all-weather mats, load space rubber mats, an expedition roof rack, a roof ladder, and an electronic winch. Of course, it gets that important paint job with black and yellow, as well special Trophy badging. Only 250 will be made. Buyers will receive a special invitation to the competition where only 90 teams will participate.
