2017 Dodge Challenger T/A

2017 Dodge Challenger T/A

The latest in Dodge’s string of heritage muscle car revivals is this, the 2017 Dodge Challenger T/A. Originally built for the Sports Car Club of America’s Trans Am (hence the T/A) racing series in 1970 with a production run of less than 2,400, the original Challenger T/A was one hell of a muscle car and incredibly difficult to get your hands on. This revived classic will be available in Challenger T/A, Challenger T/A Plus and Challenger T/A 392 models starting in October. The Challenger T/A base comes with a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 outputting up to 375hp, “air catcher” headlamps, Hellcat and Mopar performance hardware, race upgrades and a retro-inspired gauge cluster. The T/A Plus ups the ante with Nappa leather seats, Uconnect touchscreen system and other creature comforts. And then there’s the T/A 392. 6.4-liter “392” HEMI V-8 outputting 485 horses and 475 lb.-ft. of torque for a 0-60 time in the mid fours.
