This rare find might just be the German version of the Delorean DMC-12, only way, way better. The Isdera Imperator is clad in silver, has gullwing doors, and has that cockpit-like, utilitarian cabin. Only 30 Imperators were made between 1984 and 1993. This one has a 5.0-liter Mercedes V8 engine with around 300 horses, which makes sense since the car first emerged as the Mercedes-Benz CW311 concept in 1978. The design changed somewhat before emerging as the Imperator, but it retails the CW311’s thick, wedge shape. It’s a unique-looking car that looks like nothing else on the road, and it stands as special model from a short-lived marque that should turn heads wherever it goes. The Imperator will be auctioned in Monaco on April 23 by Bonhams.
