Gianluca Zaghi, the man behind Vintage Speed Bicycles, has spent a lifetime rebuilding and restoring classic racing bikes from the great Italian, French and Swiss houses of the 1950s–1970s. Zaghi has decided to pass on some of his considerable knowledge to the rest of us neophytes with his new book Vintage Bicycles: How to Find and Restore Old Cycles. The 200+ page hardcover tome is just as much a coffee table display piece as it is textbook / reference material when it comes to creating your own vintage masterpiece you can ride. The book covers the arts of finding, restoring and maintaining bikes as well as how to setup your bike for commuting purposes, countryside rides or vintage cycling events. Zaghi also dives into thirty of the most popular vintage models and the historical significance of each. Vintage Bicycles: How to Find and Restore Old Cycles will be released on October 31.
