The Top 20 Whiskies of 2021, According to Whisky Advocate

As we’re sure you’re very well aware of by now, we love whisky in all forms. Whether you’re talking about the best whiskey on the market, the difference between bourbon and whiskey, or even Japanese whiskies specifically, we’ve covered it all. Whisky Advocate, one of the 9 Great Websites Every Guy Should Know to this day, is back with another listing of their Top 20 Whiskies of 2021. You can check out the full list below, but here are the highlights we picked out at first glance: Lagavulin Offerman Edition, Maker’s FAE-01, Jack Daniel’s 10, Peerless Double Oak, Wild Turkey One, Old Fitzgerald 11.

We largely agree with their selection — though we would’ve absolutely defaulted to FAE-02 and Barrell Seagrass. As with plenty of year-end lists there’s controversy and pushback from consumers. But, our greatest criticism has to be with the fifth-place choice of George Dickel 8, which only belongs on the list of “things you hope you don’t get during the white elephant Christmas exchange.”
