At least part of the motivation for making this movie, or casting it the way they did, has to be getting Deadpool and Nick Fury in the same movie. Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson don’t have their normal costumes for that, but the characters are close enough that this might be the best Marvel fans can do for the time being. That said, this movie looks far from a consolation prize. We can already tell Reynolds and Jackson have great chemistry and the action promises a solid blend of great setpieces and quips before, after, and during. The release date is set for August 18, so there isn’t a whole lot of waiting left to do for this one, which is just as well, because it’s definitely on our list of stuff to see in the theater.
