There are quite a few experiential firms in the world doing interesting work across different mediums, but there are very few that have been as impactful as Snarkitecture. If you’re unfamiliar, Snarkitecture is a NY-based collaborative and innovative design studio founded by artist Daniel Arsham and architect Alex Mustonen. They’re described as working “at the interface between their disciplines to come up with some of the most beguiling and fascinating designs in recent years,” which is why they have a range of clients that include everyone from Calvin Klein and Kith (one of the best menswear shops you should know) to the New Museum and Beats by Dr. Dre. They teamed up with the coffee table book masters at Phaidon to put together a 256-page tome with 400 illustrations that investigates just how they came to be. Snarkitecture will be released on April 2.
