You can’t buy the iconic Nissan 240Z anymore, nor can you even get the newest Nissan Juke in America. But you can ogle this Juke that celebrates the much-lauded 1971 winner of the East African Safari. The tribute crossover copies the 240Z rally car’s black and red livery, including the number 11 plates on the doors. There are even hood-mounted rally lights and blackened wheels on fat knobbies from the original car. Then, the Juke adds a lifted suspension setup, huge fender flares, full-size spares in the open liftgate, elevated exhaust ports, and a blackened roof rack. The stock Juke’s engine is replaced by a gas-electric hybrid powertrain with unspecified power output. For now, it seems like a singular one-off, but it certainly captures the spirit of the 50-year-old race winner in a near-perfect modern interpretation. We’d love to see this same look on the upcoming all-new 400Z.
