With what looks like a two-wheeled goth caution horse, the Katalis EV.1000 e-Scooter looks like nothing else on the road… with the exception of its less powerful EV.500 sibling on which the new EV.1000 is based. The new e-Scooter looks just like its predecessor with the exception of the darkened colorway, and the EV.1000 retains the EV.500’s vintage voltmeter, covered headlight switch, LED headlight, and unique industrial integrated turn-key starter. Suspension components have been upgraded to accommodate for the 1,000-watt, brushless hub motor that’s mated to a 48-72-volt controller and a 48-volt, 45Ah battery. The EV.1000 has a 56-mile range and tops out at 50 mph. There’s even a special edition in collaboration with TheArsenale that has unique orange stripes and TheArsenale branding. The TA version is priced at just under $10k, while the EV.1000’s price hasn’t yet been disclosed.
