The GlenDronach 12 Year Scotch and Point Reyes White Cheddar Pairing

Looking to upgrade your weeknight dinner party? Try a unique scotch and cheese pairing. The GlenDronach Distillery has teamed up with California-based Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Co. for a holiday pairing experience. Available for shipping in select states, the combo includes a bottle of The GlenDronach Original Aged 12 Years and six ounces of White Cheddar from Point Reyes. The scotch, a flagship from the beloved single malt scotch whisky distillery, was aged in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks resulting in a smooth, balanced, lightly sweet Scotch. And it genuinely pairs wonderfully with the cheddar. We tried the pairing here at Cool Material and loved the sharp cheese balancing out some of the sweet/smoky notes of The GlenDronach 12. Simply pour a small sample of scotch — we tried it neat — and prep a slice of the cheddar on a club cracker. Sip and enjoy the melding of light smoke and sherry sweetness before the robust, sharp 1-year-aged cheddar. Even for the most skeptical scotch drinkers, this pairing is sure to impress. The set is available to order online for $105 and ships to select states in the US.
